A NON-GOVERNMENT RESOURCE | Here to help make understanding Medicare 123Easy

If you are currently enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without prescription drug coverage) and you would like to select a different Medicare Advantage Plan (with or without drug coverage) you can do so during the 2020 Medicare Open Enrollment Period that runs from January 1st through March 31st with the new coverage starting the first of the following month.

During this time period you can also drop your Medicare Advantage Plan and return to Original Medicare, pick up a Medigap plan (Supplement), and elect a Part D Prescription Drug Plan. When electing a Medigap plan outside of your open enrollment period you may have to go through a medical underwriting process which could lead to approval or denial of your application for coverage. Your Medigap open enrollment period starts on your Part B effective date and lasts for 6 months. You NEVER want to disenroll from your Medicare Advantage plan until you know you are APPROVED for your Medigap (Supplement) plan. Submitting an application for a Part D Prescription Drug plan will disenroll you from your Medicare Advantage plan automatically. BOTTOM LINE… Don’t do this alone. Let us help!

If you want to discuss making a plan change during the 2020 Open Enrollment Period, call our office TODAY and reserve a spot with your favorite advisor.
